Nigeria’s government to sell off DisCos managed by banks, AMCON July
The Federal Government has disclosed plans to sell off the five electricity Distribution Companies (DisCos) managed by some banks and Asset Management Company (AMCON) to technical power operators, by July 2024.
Adebayo Adelabu, the minister of power disclosed this in Abuja on Monday during an oversight visit of the Senate Committee on Power to the ministry.

FG Targets Six Thousand Megawatts Power Generation
Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu says Power generation in the country will be raised from four thousand to six thousand megawatts.
The Chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, Senator. Eyinnnaya Abaribe Led his colleagues to the Minister.
The committee members were on familiarization and oversight visit in line with section 80 and 81 of the Nigerian constitution.

FG to achieve 6000 megawatts using hydro, solar plants – Adelabu
The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has unveiled plans to increase power generation from 4000 Megawatts to 6000 using the hydro and solar plants.
Adelabu said this in Abuja on Monday when the members of the Senate Committee on Power visited the ministry.
