Ekiti Deputy Governor Gives Solar Lights to Communities 

The Ekiti State Deputy Governor, Monisade Afuye, has announced the donation of 14 solar lights to two communities in the state to boost the socio-economic well-being of the people.  

At the presentation of the solar lights to the communities Tuesday, Afuye said that the donations were in fulfillment of the promises she made during the All Progressives Congress electioneering campaign for its National Assembly candidates.

FG Revokes Seplat CEO, Brown’s Visa, Residence, Work Permits 

The Minister of Interior, Abuja has revoked the Work Permit, Visa and Residence Permit of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Seplat Energy Plc, Mr. Roger Brown, over allegations of racism, favouring of foreign workers and discrimination against Nigerian employees levelled against him by employees of the company. 

The federal government equally accused Brown of being in possession of a Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Aliens Card (CERPAC) not based on a valid Expatriate Quota. It was also alleged that Brown failed to honour invitations by the Ministry’s panel, which investigated the matter.

Ukraine war: Russian Air Strikes Cut Power At Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant 

The attacks hit cities from Kharkiv in the north to Odesa in the south and Zhytomyr in the west. 

Buildings and infrastructure were hit in Kharkiv and Odesa, with power blackouts in several areas. Attacks on the capital Kyiv are also reported. 

Ukraine said Russia fired 81 missiles, in what is the biggest strike in weeks.
